Apple Fixes DFU Mode
As noted early Apple has just released the new Mac OS X 10.5.7. You can update your Mac via Software Update in the Preferences. When Apple introduce 10.5.6 update. DFU mode was broken and this conflicted with a lot of people who needed to jailbreak their iPhone and iPod Touch. The only solution was to use in some cases a USB Hub or use the 10.5.5 IOUSBFamily kernel extension.
With the new Mac OS 10.5.7 DFU mode session are fully functional, which is certainly a good thing! We can also synchronize notes between the iPhone 3.0 and iTunes 8.2 via USB. Take a Look at a screenshot by Mark Sfreddo that shows the ability to synchronize notes in iTunes.

WD shoves four 2TB Caviar Green HDDs
Remember those absurdly capacious 2TB Caviar Green hard drives that Western Digital pumped out earlier this year? If not, WD's hoping to jar your memory by cramming no fewer than four of 'em into its newest, most spacious ShareSpace NAS ever. The four-bay device is now being offered in an 8TB flavor, and it promises to deliver up to 30 percent faster transfer speeds than prior models and to support DLNA media streaming. As with before, this one also doubles as an iTunes music server and comes bundled with the company's own Anywhere Backup software. Other specs include gigabit Ethernet, RAID 0/1/5 capabilities, an email alert system in case failure is imminent, a trio of USB 2.0 sockets and a built-in FTP server. It should be ready to house all of your, um, old tax documents later this week for $1,699.99.Filed under: StorageWD shoves four 2TB Caviar Green HDDs into ShareSpace NAS originally appeared on Engadget on Tue, 03 Mar 2009 22:23:00 EST.

Linksys WRT54G v6.0
Since i love to hack the products i have, was bored during my breaks that i was taking while i was studying. Thought i would do something interesting, then saw my Blue BOX (WRT54G v6 Router), considered it flashing with 3rd Party firmware DD-WRT or Tomato. Unfortunately Tomato is only compatible up to WRT54G v4. So i had to go with DD-WRT Micro. DD-WRT is one of the amazing firmware which can be flashed, so there goes within 10 mins i was up and running DD-WRT v24 sp2, perfect build.. been running this from 2 days no probs so far. RX and TX shows 0 errors. Got to Say, it has turned my $40 router to $200 worth. Alot more options out there, OC'ed to 216Mhz.. running sweetly.
