2) Create a folder called “Documents” in /var/mobile/ and set permission to 777
3) Reboot

SSH to iPhone

Alright, alot of people asked how to SSH to iPhone. Therefore i am writing a simple tutorial on how to SSH iPhone. First you need to have Jailbroken iPhone.

Tools you need for iPhone
- OpenSSH (for SSH)
- BossPref (makes life easy)

Above tools can be downloaded from Cydia. Once BossPref and OpenSSH installed, tap on BossPref and turn on OpenSSH and WiFi and note your IP.

Tools you need for PC - Click on program name to download
- Putty (need this first time only)
- WinSCP (this is graphic interface for and does better job than Putty)

Alright once you have the above tools on iPhone and and PC. Follow the steps below.

Putty
1) Open Putty and fill the above noted IP in Host Name (or IP Address) box.
2) A black window will popup and wait couple of second(first time users), then a box will popup with some key, just accept it.
3) Login as: root and password: alpine (for first time users). I recommend not to change password.
4) type exit (this will close black window aka Putty).

Now WinSCP
1) Host Name is above noted IP(same as you used to connect with Putty).
2) Username: root and password: alpine
3) Press Login, it will again popup to update key, just update it(this is first time).
4) You will be logged in and will be at the place where it shows you Folders name Library, Media.

Congrats you have successfully connected to iPhone using WinSCP.

Newbie's Guide to Installing Full Apps [iPhone]

There are two methods as far as I know, the direct method (SSH copy) and the ipa/iTunes method. For both methods you must already have jailbroken your iphone and installed openssh. If you are unsure how to do this, please go find one of iClarified.com's iphone jailbreaking tutorials (e.g.: iClarified)

Direct method:
1) Download the Full game/app and extract the ApplicationName.app folder to your desktop.
2) Copy ApplicationName.app into /Applications via SSH or SFTP and set it's permissions to 755 (chmod 755 ApplicationName.app )
3) Create a folder called “Documents” in /var/mobile/ and set permissions to 777. (*only needs to be done once)
4) Reboot your iPhone


iTunes method:This requires replacing a framework file on your iPhone first, but then makes the installation of apps very easy (double click on the mac/pc):

How to install Full IPA's:
1) Using SSH, navigate to: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/"
2) Rename the file "MobileInstallation" to "MobileInstallation.bak"
3) Download this patched file - MobileInstallation
4) Copy the patched file over to "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/" set permissions to 755
5) Reboot your iPhone

To install the full .ipa apps, simply double click them and sync them with your iPhone!

Super Monkey Balls 2.0 - Full [PSP]

After the WWDC ‘08 Keynote, everyone wanted this iPhone game, it received almost as much hype as the iPhone itself. Super Monkey Ball from SEGA definitely has some good qualities, however it does have some bad qualities as well. First off, this game costs $9.99 which might be a little steep for some.



Super Monkey Ball sports some great graphics and almost proves itself as one of the best games created for the iPhone. There are over a 100 leves to play which means you might not get bored from this for a while.





So without further delay we would like to offer you the cracked version of this game. We would also like to inform you that this release has not been tested on jailbroken/unlocked iPhone’s running firmware 2.0 which is impossible at the moment for the lack of an unlock out there.
How do you install this game?

1. Make sure you are on firmware 2.0 with OpenSSH installed.
2. Download the Super Monkey Ball Full 2.0 file and extract the .app folder from the archive to your desktop.
3. Create a folder called “Documents” in /var/mobile. Set the permissions to 777
4. Upload the .app folder extracted before to the /Applications folder and set permissions of ALL files inside to 777. Here is a video showing how to do this.

DAX has released v6 of Magic Battery and DDC. This is the first DAX version which uses Graphical User Interface, and much better and easier to use. This version has adopted kernal 4.01 therefore no longer need any previous eboot such as 1.50, 3.40 or 3.90. Using this version you can flash any PSP straight to 4.01m33-2. As per DAX, this release fixes the crashing that randomly occured on TA-88 motherboards, however becareful when you flash your newer version of PSP.

In addition, The newer model of TA-88 is still buggy and might not be able to boot up from DAX DDC6. Overall this is a great improvement in open source firmware and one of the best DDC. Biggest Thanks to DAX and other Devs for it.

Installer App 4.0b3 Released [iPhone]

Note - This is NOT for the ‘noobs’. This involves typing in the ‘command line’ terminal(to chmod Installer).

Now how do you get that onto your device? First you will need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch. . .then you’ll need 2 applications called WinSCP and putty.

1. After you have downloaded and extracted the Installer 4.0 beta archive. . .you need to upload it to your device.
2. Open WinSCP and login to your iPhone or iPod Touch. - The username is ‘root’ and the password is ‘alpine’.
3. Upload the ‘Installer.app’ folder to the /Applications/’ directory.
4. Close WinSCP and open up putty.
5. SSH into your device with putty - again the username is ‘root’ and the password is ‘alpine’.
6. Type this into putty after you have logged in chmod -R 777 “/Applications/Installer.app”
7. After pressing enter, now type this into putty
chmod a+srx “/Applications/Installer.app/Installer”
8. Now press enter and that’s it!
9. Restart your iPhone or iPod Touch and you’ll have your Installer 4.0 beta 3 app installed correctly.

Or lastly you can wait until tomorrow :D

PwnageTool 2.02 Comes out Friday! [iPhone/PC]

The release of PwnageTool 2.0.2 has been slightly delayed in order to include Installer 4.0b3 according to the Dev-Team.

Pwnagetool will come out tomorrow(Friday) stated by a member of Dev-Team. What time Dev-Team will release the new PwnageTool? Time is yet unknown.

As per Dev-Team, do not upgrade iPhone to firmware 2.1 as it will only lower the chances of you to unlock your iPhone. You rather want to upgrade with Pwned firmware.

It is also known that winpwn 2.5 is under development. No words from cmw regarding the release, but it will be soon after PwnageTool 2.02 comes out. This time windows users do not have to wait long.

Net Share App aka Tethering [iPhone]

Hands on NetShare (Full Version).. Found floating on Net. Netshare was taken down in U.S. by apple as this application violates AT&T's terms and conditions for internet tethering(if i am correct).

For those who would like to use at their own risk. I would explain below.

What is iPhone NetShare?

NetShare, all it does is set up a SOCKS5 proxy for you to get your laptop/computer online through use of the 3G/EDGE connection. Does it work? Ofcourse. (tested by me on Mac). EDGE works just fine, although it is slow(but faster than 56k). 3G impressions are unknown as i do not own one. Be careful of how much bandwidth you're using, since your provider probably give you weird look or surprisingly high bill for using their network to power your laptop.

Three Good News About iPhone

Well well well... what we were waiting for is coming out tonight or tomorrow... Yes.. Installer.app 4.0 is coming out for iPhone 3G/2.5G Firmware 2.0. If you were planning to install or pwn firmware 2.0 tonight, I would say wait until tomorrow.

In addition, biteSMS has released v1.20. This is still in beta, however this runs great on Firmware 2.0, as well as 1.1.4. One thing thatit is missing is WAP proxy. To my knowledge apps for firmware 2.0 needs to be re-written, therefore this part of the app might be worked on as we talk.

Moreover, good news for Windows users. WinPwn 2.5 will be coming out soon. Screenshots has been posted on www.winpwn.com. This program will be using same UI that PwnageTool use and will share same features. Yes this means, it will include auto search feature for Firmware Files, Bootloaders, and it might have partition resize tool in it.
